It does seem durable so long as it's not subjected to too much toddler chaos and destruction. We were impressed with the sound quality and it does have a couple different volume settings which works out well. We purchased this back in February and have yet to replace the battery despite some pretty consistent use from our 2 and 5 year old. The functionality is exactly as described and I do feel like our kiddos are learning from it which is why we bought it in the first place. Would buy again!
