Definitely works, but you have to find a very sturdy pole or something in your home to hang it on. I had to use my gazebo outside which worked great. I have a pug, and he is about 14 pounds. He was suspended for about ten minutes and it held him well even when he squirmed in the beginning. I could have kept him up there longer and did some more filing, but I clipped as well as filed for a few minutes and he got used to it. Every dog is different, but mine is a puppy and he squirms a lot but did really well.
