This is a fun, well-made toy that incorporates more building elements into the marble run genre of toys. Like blocks, that means it can be knocked over. But kids deserve more credit than we often give them -- they can be surprisingly nimble with their little hands and can demonstrate more patience and concentration than many adults I run into.

Our 4 year old granddaughter played for ours with this marble run on Christmas day. Her marble run never fell over. So glad we did not by the plastic ones. The wood pieces are beautiful. There are a few non toxic plastic pieces with this set and they are well made. Very happy with this purchase.

This is a great toy with lots of potential for teaching building skills. Be prepared to build the models with/for your child at the beginning, but now my 4-year-old enjoys creating his own designs (with some help). The pieces themselves are sturdy, but this toy works best on a table.
